Pots for contemplation

Art & Design

31 MAY 2012

The creations of the English artist Tina Vlassopulos can be considered as almost  being a form of release. The pots are produced in her small studio in London, each one is the result of meticulous work in ceramics at extremely high temperatures. The final layer of paint in sober colors and at the same time delicate, creates a magic effect on the parts, and further enhances the impression of movement. The award-winning artist says that she usually molds the forms by hand to a point where the material seems to almost want to give up.
